The evening stretches endlessly
While I sip tea in a quiet corner
Watching the exhausted, mellowed sun
Preparing to say goodbye
The evening knows not
That I treasure its essence
The evening knows not
That I wait with patience
So it embellishes the sky
Treating it like a canvas
Splurging it with the rarest of hues
Creating a riot of colours
Trying to change my mood
Which lies supine
Lazily intertwined with my thoughts
Floating in the reverie of the moment
Which will continue unabated
Till you arrive on the scene
When I shall begin to blend my daydream
With the beauty of your unfolding presence
