Aloneness has a language
Exclusive, all of its own
Speaking to me softly
In wispy, hushed tones
Aeons removed
From the cacophony of daily life
From the stresses and strains
Of everyday strife
The dreams I design for myself
Are embedded in its architecture
And the ones which float in unannounced
Embellish its idyllic structure
The line which separates it
From the dark despair of loneliness
Must be guarded cautiously
To avoid depressive helplessness
The joy of creativity
Luminescent along its boundary
Encapsulates my being
Whenever in a quandary
Unhindered and unfettered
My thoughts continue to flow
Contemplating, meditating
On life’s highs and lows
A unique undefinable space
Where I occasionally love to reside
Where I can ignore all expectations
Of the world in wait outside
